The Spanish Championship ended with a successful participation and great camaraderie. Unfortunately, the wind, and the difficult and changing conditions were protagonists over the three racing days, luckily despite the low level of the dam there was enough water to host the regatta.

No matter the situation the Soling ESP 146 also called "Bondi"leaded by Mikel Alvarez and crewed by Eliseo Belnuce and Guillermo Parodi Jr. were capable to show their boat handling and were crowned after 8 races putting the CNV (Club Nautico Vitoria) at the edge of the class. The boat "Alliv" – ESP 46 with Kiko Villa, Miguel Martinez and Antonio Seghers from the CNSR (Club Nautico San Ramon) finished second showing their excellent setup facing the next World Championship to be held in La Baule (FRA). In Third came the boat "Romdam" - ARG 32 with Guillermo Parodi, Tomas Peuvrel and Michele Tognozzi from Italy honoring the swamp with his visit.

The final standings were close with only 3 points defining places from second to sixth, showing how tight the competition was amongst the fleet which sails not far from the iconic Madrid and the Gran Via.

The Argentine family Parodi living already for a while in Madrid had a special weekend, where the young son (14) beat the father and will have at least a year to show off at every breakfast!.

A fleet of not less than three boats are expected from Spain to attend the Worlds in La Baule next September, and together with the Dutch they occupy the privileged seat of growing fleet in the class, besides the possibility to be bidding for another World Championship in the Atlantic sea in the future nearby.
