Organizing authority
The organizing Authority is the Hungarian Yachting Association and the Hungarian Soling Association in con-jucting with the International Soling Association
1 Rules
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008.
1.2 The prescriptions of the Hungarian National Authority will not apply.
1.3 The ISA Championship Rules will apply.
1.4 The following racing rules will be changed: 28.1, 32, 35, 42.3(c), 60.1(a), 61.3, 62.2, A4.1, A4.2 and Race Signals AP and S. . The changes will appear in full in the Sailing Instructions .
1.5 Amendments to any of the rules applying to the regatta must be approved and signed by the ISA Liaison Officer appointed for the event
1.6 If there is a conflict between the languages, the English text will take precedence
2 Advertising
The regatta is designated to category C under ISAF Regulation 20.
3 Eligibility and entry
3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the International Soling class as prescribed in ISA Championship Rule 4
3.2 ISA Membership is obligatory for all crew members. Membership fees will be collected from any crew member failing to present proof of previously paid membership fee.
3.3 It is also required that all yachts entering shall display the ISA sticker for the current year. An additional amount will be collected from the helmsman or representative of any yacht not displaying the ISA sticker of the current year at the appropriate position.
3.4 Eligible boats may enter by completing the entry forms on the event website (www.solingeuropeans.com) no later than 24 April 2006.
4 Classification
The ISAF Sailor Classification Code will apply
5 Fees
The entry fee is € 400 per boat (incl. craning and berthing, ex. ISA fee ₤ 35). The fee is payable in cash, after arrival in the Regatta Office at the registration.
6 Registration
The Race Office at the Marina of HYA: H-8230 Balatonfüred, Zákonyi u. 8 will be open for registration from 12.00 hours on Friday 12th May 2006
7 Schedule

10.00-19.00 Registration, measurement and collecing the Sailing Instructions
Sunday the 14th May 2006
10.00-17.00 Registration, measurement and collecting the Sailing Instructions
19.00 Opening Ceremony and Reception
Monday the 15th May 2006
09.55 Warning signal of the First Race
Thusday the 16th May to Friday the 19th May 2006 Races
Schedule of further races will be given in the Sailing Instructions
No warning signal will be given after 14.55 on Friday, the 19 May 2005
8 Measurement
Yachts will be measured in accordance with ISA Championship Rule 7.0. Measuring and Class Rules 16 and 17. For a Yacht to be eligible to race, her valid (the original or a copy of the original ) Measurement Form shall be presented at the Race Office and the helmsman must have satisfied all measurement and registration requirements as specified in this NOR including the submission (at the completion of measurement) of properly completed measurement work sheets. If the Measurement Form cannot be produced before the first race, RRS 78.2 will be applied.
9 Sailing Instructions
Sailing Instructions will be available at registration.
10 Course area
A chart showing the course area is attached.
11 The courses
Standard ISA Championship courses will be used
12 Penalty system
12.1 The Two-Turns Penalty, rule 44.2, will apply.
12.2 An International Jury will be appointed in accordance with RRS Appendix N. Their decisions will be final and not subject to appeal in accordance with RRS 70.4.
13 Scoring
13.1 The Low Points Scoring System of RRS A4 will apply.
13.2 9 races are scheduled of which 5 must be completed to constitute a valid championship.
13.3 When less than 6 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
13.4 When 6 or more races have been completed,a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
14 Prizes
Prizes will be awarded according to the ISA Championship rules.
Further special prizes will be presented by the host Authority, Sponsors and the town of Balatonfured.
15 Disclaimer of liability
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4 „Decision to Race”. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjuction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
16 Insurance
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of
₤500.000 or the equivalent for the duration of the regatta.
17 Coach and support boats
Coach and support boats have to be registered (download Support boat form attachment) not later than 24 April 2006 in accordance with Para 3.3. In order to use such boats on Lake Balaton a fee of € 100 must be paid at the Regatta Office on arrival.
