Sailors
The International Soling Association Executive Committee, in an effort to better understand the thinking and concerns of Soling Class racing members, travelers, and crucial friends of the Class, launches the attached survey for all interested sailors and members.
In tests, the survey required up to 12 minutes when fully answered. You will find that there are sections of the survey where you will be able to skip forward, if desired. We attempted to make this a rewarding experience for all. Questions revolve around the numerous aspects involved in sailing and racing the Soling including race administration, application of penalties, registration concerns, willingness to race, and other topics.
The information collected from this effort will help guide the ISA as it establishes Class guidelines, calendars, ideas to grow the Class, etc. Expect to see results on the international website (www.soling.com), at minimum, in the weeks to come. We hope that the survey generates more focused discussion within Class members and friends. Ideally, sailors and the ISA "structure" will be able to interact more closely in our pursuit to help support the Soling Class.
We look forward to receiving your answers to the Soling Class inaugural survey. Many thanks, in advance.

... missleading questions!
... missleading questions! by Roman Koch click on text to hide comment
Dear Soling-friends,
the idea about such a survey is really good, but in this case, there are a lot of missleading questions, false facts (others than the decisions at the members meeting during the worlds in Hanko!) and in general without background infos what makes it difficult for some sailors to answer or/and will lead to a complete different result.
My idea would be to ask in a NEUTREAL way and have some "side-comments" about the real situation.
A lot of sailors are part-time-racers and so they probably don`t know the situation of the group, who is travelling more.
I will NOT answer this survey as long as it is such missleading and ignoring the decisions, made at the last meeting.
Best regards
Roman GER 1
