After yesterday nights official event dinner, a great day for sailing in La Baule, flat water, winds from North and Northeast at the first race stronger with 15 to 17 knots going down for the second race with 8 to 13 knots, lots of ups an downs mixed with the shifts.
Team Process Solutions HUN 11 and team HH NOR 131 had similar day both always in the lead, the first one to achieve a second and later a bullet and the defending champion managed to get his bullet at the first race and then it was the followerd runner, keeping the 2 point difference in between teams, but with all discards favoring NOR 131 sailed by Nergaard, Barne and Mathisen who have 5 first places, therefore a tie will always be in their favor. HUN 11 sailed by Litkey, Vezer and Wossala needs for sure an extra bullet on their last race but also that NOR 131 places 4th or worst a difficult task, not impossible. Tomorrow will be the decision day for this event, but both teams will face each other again in 25 days at the World Championship being held at Hanko, home waters of NOR 131.

The other fight for the podium keeps depending on the last race while today the duel amongst the former America's cup skippers favored a solid CAN 225 with Hall, Parekh and Joo collecting two third places to jump again in third overall just three points ahead local hero FRA 198 Bouet, Du Reau and Chtounder who had a 9th and a 5th on their finishes.

The other interesting battle seems to be the Carbon mast brands where team Star Sails NED 44 Soethoudt, Schellen , Lidlow sailing with “Carbonmast - NL” continue to surprise achieving a 7th and a 9th enough to keep behind FRA 208 Lefevre, Fouchier and Heintz sailing with “CUL-Masten - DE” and with a 5th and 6th as finishes. Both ending in a tie with 39 points, tomorrow the final decision.

Team FRA 188 sailed by Xavier Denis, Stephanie Breton and Manach probably thinks it was Xavier's birthday gift the day, now ahead to win the Rien Segaar Trophy but also consolidating Stephanie to win the Reloaded trophy. They have a 5-point lead over FRA 196 sailed by Pecha, Mouille and Gerard and far enough from NED 37 sailed by Boogaerdt, den Hartog and Dijkstra the country that could steal the RST but 23 points it would need need a total collapse from FRA 208 ,198, 188 and 196 and their best performance + NED 44 and NED 33 doing excellent races.

Tomorrow the last race of the event
