The weather at the South American Championship once more gave the key note for a fabulous competition, that included foto finish, leader changes leaving the top 4 boats so close together that all will depend on future races and their discards.

The wind initially was from the South something around 11 to 13 knots at the first race, but it went to the left big, and at the middle of the race it came back to the right big again, creating a confusion and at some teams in good positions to slide down.

This race was won by the local hero BRA 86 Hartmann, Sidou and Silva sailing Don't let me down, they just managed to beat the Argentine team ARG 2 with Warburg, Celedoni and Weppler and in third came BRA 73 Bergenthal, Goldmeier and Oppitz.

The second race of the day, another 3 lap with 1 Nm distance in-between the buoys and about 1hr 10min of race. Was also super intense, the first beat the left paid off big, but then everything changed on the second beat and those who went to the right just overtook the leaders, for some teams that sailed against the path was a kill, ending the fight for the course key of the day.

This race the winner was BRA 88 with Wahrlich, Trein and Lamb the ones that found the “little” righty, again the Argentine team managed to keep afloat and finished second just ahead BRA 73.

This left BRA 86, BRA 73, ARG 2 and BRA 88 real close depending on their future discards to swap places at the overall results.

With 4 races the Championship already is valid, and forecast looks good again for another amazing day tomorrow and class BBQ.
