Three races in 8 to 11 knots of wind from the South was concluded by Chicho this afternoon at Bellano for the Bellano Trophy.

The Soling class had a great opportunity to show off being the fastest VMG class to sail the longest course set by the Race Committee.
Team USA 853 despite too many handling problems sailing with the Youngest sailor (Federico Compagnoni - 17 ) and the oldest from the championship (Marco Colombo - 73), had a great start at the event with three bullets, the first a big fight at the last downwind mark and being the inside boat was enough to round and shoot over the mini reach to the blue band. The Second race after losing at the first downwind chased the tack to the right who finally paid by enough meters to again be first at the windward mark and not lose the lead till the finish.
The third regatta after a start chased all over the Europeans, and now available team USA just went fast ahead of all boats having to clear their air, and with this USA from the beginning started to cover the side making more and more distance to the other teams, who were already suffering the fatigue of three ‘molto lungo' races at the beautiful Como.

ITA 252 Alberto Amicis, Marco Amicis and Negri despite being caught at the outside in the first race finishing third, later one managed to keep two second places.
ITA 241 with Italian Class Secretary Fabio Armellini, Atilia Pappini and Nicola Armellini had two good races to end up in 5th the last one, which creates an interesting situation for tomorrow when a young team ITA 238 with Giovanni di Vicenzo, Marco Ferrera and Francesco Ficola just one point behind the veteran Veronesi sailor.

The CVB received all sailors with a traditional pasta party, just before the storm came in, later tonight the Soling family gather together at a traditional restaurant in town. Domani (Tomorrow) three more races are set, hopefully same wind if storms goes away.
