Fantastic, fantastic, fabulous sailing at Lake Garda for the 2019 Soling Europeans, hot temperatures, the real Ora blowing and showing visitors what sailing is about. Nice surfing at some downwind and waves.

The first race wind from 185 degrees FIN 46 Heinonen, Helmhout and Heinonen took the lead just ahead USA 853 Collins, Baumüller and Galloni , followed by SLO 1 with Antoncic, Strakh and Rejec;
A fantastic downwind from team USA who ended choosing the wrong mark to round and trying to recover in a middle tack lost two boats, the one to make it up the most was HUN 77 Wossala, Wossala and Wossala with an opposite tack crossing behind USA, and going to the right side. Once HUN 77 came back they crossed ahead clear of many FIN 46 followers. The last rounding mark caotic for USA 853 who being polite to CAN 225 didn't tack ahead but below at the approaching mark, ending up touching the mark and doing his nice circles and giving free way for some other boats to pass, hopefully once in life time mistake... The downwind amazing with the intense fights and FIN 46 managed to keep the lead ahead GER 1 Koch, Kling and Neun and in third HUN 77.

The second race the wind sometimes were a bit stronger and pushing nice surfs for some teams, the kido AUT 7 with Felzmann, Felzmann and Gnan took the bullet while choosing the right side on the two last beats, followed by SLO 1 this time also choosing the right side despite on his own words, - “perhaps I was not steering properly, couldn't get the bullet” - , FIN 46 doing a great job stayed in the game and finished 3rd, pushing them to lead overall after the discards.

Only two more races are scheduled for tomorrow the last day of the 2019 Soling Europeans sponsored by Garda Trentino and Negroni Nautica, hosted by the Circolo Vela Torbole.

Irene Haist has secured the Reloaded Trophy as on GER 308 the Windsniffer team she will be the best placed woman at the event.

Tonight sailors will be welcomed by the CVT's cheff with the Gala Dinner at 2000hs, delayed from its original schedule due to the high temperatures over the area.
Sailors already are making their plans to attend La Baule next September for the 2019 World Championship ( www.solingworlds.com )
