No other items are allowed unless reviewed and approved by the ISA Technical and Executive Committee
If you would like to approve a device please make the requesto to admin@soling.com sending as much information as possible, and the Technical Committee will review the one.

Previously in SOLING SAILING the ISA Committee agreed at the November 1998 meeting that specific models of digital compasses may be approved if they offer facilities not exceeding timing, heading, and directional memory, and if they do not transmit or receive.

See Class Rules C.3.1. 2 (a) - and note specifically the new wording which came into effect on March 1st 1999 - and please remember that the instruments permitted above are the only exception from the general rule. Also note due to class rules changes on 2018 event organization may required the competitors to carry onboard smart phones using a specific tracking system.
